Outside number from your landline | 8 -- [pause] -- then the 10-digit number | may have to dial "1" first if long distance (Flagstaff) |
When making local (outside) calls you should remember to first dial "8" and pause for a second dial tone (just a few seconds) before dialing the number.
In addition, you will need to dial the entire 10-digit local number - usually starting with the "928" area code.
Touchmark will generally call you every day about 9:00 AM with a brief message about the day's events. These are referred to as "robocalls". If you do not wish to
receive these calls, please let Life Enrichment know and they will discontinue calling you with the daily updates. You will still be called in the event of an emergency,
major changes in a scheduled event, fire alarm test or other important matters.
Any of your existing home telephones should work with the Touchmark system. This will include corded telephones as well as wireless ones.
If you have trouble with your telephone service please call the Front Desk and ask them to put in a "Work Order".
If you are calling an outside number and constantly receive a busy signal, you might have forgotten to dial the "928" area code.
If you are calling an outside number and receive an announcement to the effect that you have mis-dialed or that the call could not go through, you might unknowingly be calling a
long distance number. This may mean that you are calling a Flagstaff number (quite often this will be the number for a Doctor who has offices in both Prescott and Flagstaff).
