Appointments as a Committee Chair are usually made in December with interested candidates having been interviewed by the Executive Director and/or members of the Resident Executive Committee. They are appointed for a one-year term starting in January. Currently there is a two-year term limit imposed upon Committee Chairs subject to an over-ride by the Executive Director regarding an extension of their appointment.
